Driving home tonight, after I left Bogata heading toward Paris on US 271, I saw a tall column of dark smoke what appeared to be in the area Cunningham. I stopped at the convenient store in Deport to ask what it was. They also were wondering. A truck driver in the store said it looked like an oil fire. It did have a similar look to the oil well fires we see on T.V. in Iraq. This was about 8 p.m. I hope to find out what it was. I guess the wind was calm because it went straight up then leveled out into what looked like a long black cloud. The smoke seemed to be only 5 to 10 miles south of Rugby/Deport.
