Drew, The National Archives in Ft. Worth has Indian info. Some years back I helped a friend of mine look up her indian ancestors. They have copies of the jackets(file) that has all the info in it were the person had to prove they were indian. Also the Dallas library downtown has alot of the indian rolls on microfilm. Dallas is were we spent most of our time. Those rolls can be confusing. It is like they have info in several different sections on the some roll. Good Luck, Nina Lyons Tarver, Duncanville, Tx
Thanks Nina! I hadn't thought to even look at the archives until I noticed yesterday that the Dawes record on Ancestry.com came from there. I wondered if it was all still there and accessible. I will pass on the information. Appreciate the help, Drew On Tue, 15 Apr 2003 07:51:21 -0400 NFLTARVER@aol.com wrote: >Drew, >The National Archives in Ft. Worth has Indian info.
