Yes, Welcome new members. It has been scary quiet in recent days/weeks. A little spooky. Seems every since the board was down for a couple of days, it has been quiet. I think everyone is waiting for someone else to see if the board is working. I usually ramble a lot, but seem to be going in all different directions lately. As Cynthia said, we would be happy to hear a little background and your connections to Red River County. You will be surprised how one word or name can spark common interest. Also any interesting experience or memory of you or anyone to do with Red River County, would be of great interest. I have been busy recently trying to help some others with their genealogy by private messages. Jim Giddens Paris/Reno/Clarksville, Tx CHS-1959
Hi! I am new to the group. I have been researching my family roots there in Red River and am lucky to have found lots of information. My family has been in Red River since the late 1800's. Their names are the Bond's and the Loftin's. A lot of my family still live near and around Dekalb. My great-grandmother always said she was from Cuthand and from there I have found the majority of my information. If anyone is interested in the surnames English, Bond, Campbell,or Loftin, I would love to help. I was born and raised all over Northeast Texas, but now I reside in San Diego,California. I am always looking for new information, so if anyone has any links to those names I mentioned I would be happy to swap. Thanks, Chrissy Roth

I don't know of any of my Bonds that made it to Red River County. I do have some who were on the King Ranch in south Texas. I have current day Bond relatives in Perryton and San Antonio TX, but there were originally from OK. My line goes back to Edward Bond of Wiltshire England in the early 1600s. Gene Phillips
