    3. The only existing copies of the Clarksville Times that are not on microfilm at the county library are the ones that have been bound into books at the Times office. They would have to be unbound and taken out of the books in order to be filmed and that hasn't happened. Many years of the Times no longer exist. I don't have a list of the years that are available on microfilm at the Clarksville library but I know there is quite a lot. Also, many years of the Detroit, Deport, and Bogata papers are available there on film. Plus all of the Northern Standard. However, be warned that the microfilm reader at the library is old and cranky and does not make copies. Also, if looking for obits after about the early 1950s, you can usually find them in the Paris News which is available at Paris Junior College on microfilm. That's when Paris News started consistently printing Red River Co. obits. The film reader at the college is new and makes good copies for a quarter each.
