I lived in Lovington and surrounding towns for 7 years in the 50s and 60s. When I lived there, they had only a couple of grocery stores, no major chain restaurants. The only fast food place I remember is the Ole Jax Drive in. We used to go to Rudd's Resturant for fine dining. The last time I was there was in 1976 and it wasn't much different than when I lived there, except maybe a MacDonalds. Gene
