Savannah Cemetery http://www.rootsweb.com/~txredriv/savannah.html From Annona go south on FM 44 for 4.1 miles to the intersection with FM 1701. Take FM 1701 east for 2 miles to the intersection with CR 4405. Take CR 4405 south or left for 4/10 mile and turn into the gates to Savannah Cemetery on the left. The cemetery is another 3/10 mile east. A deed dated 11 Oct 1926 and filed for record on 11 Oct 1926 in Book CH Vol 118 page 255 conveyed '60 acres of the Dennis Hardy survey sold to O. W. Howard less 2 acres for cemetery' from D. H. Howard to Savannah Cemetery. Also a deed dated 21 Nov 1927 and filed for record on 21 Nov 1927 in Book CH Vol 121 page 182 conveys 1 acre of the Dennis Hardy survey from RRCo, TX to Savannah Church. The oldest marked grave is that of James Titus who died on 9 Nov 1843.
