Carrie, I don't know what special people will be at Avery for the Tomato Festival Days. Maybe someone else has more information. I bet the Avery web site will have it or you can e-mail the city secretary. My family is have a get together the 4th. I hope I am able to get to Avery. Eddie Robinson hope to be there but he is having medical complications with a knee that may prevent him from traveling from Tenn. I am sure there will be a lot of people there but I don't know about people from our list group. One place to meet if we do may be the old drug store building on Main Street (actually Texas Ave if I recall correctly), but the Business US 82. The title out side the front door says "DRUGS". It is not a eating place with some antiques in it. I was there last week and saw such stuff as the "Gathings" drug wrapping paper on a big roll and some bottle that had grease pencil markings make by me in the 70s. Some one had already cleared out the really old stuff before I bought the drug store in 1969. I do still have a few old prescriptions that were written in 1917 and 1918 and filled at the old drug store. If this does not work out, maybe we could have one of own reunions again in the near future like we had 2 or 3 years ago.
