Does anybody out there have any ideas how the Cherry community in RR was started? I would like to find out about some of the history. Annette Cherry
Hi Annette, I do have some information given to be by Mike Hill regarding the history of the Cherry Community. He did some research to get the Stone's Chapel Cemetery designated as a "historic cemetery". I am not at home right now, however. I am in Austin to attend the State GenWeb meeting. If you don't hear from me by Sunday or Monday, remind me and I will send it to you. Annette, re your post on Cherry Community. By any chance were your CHERRYs out of Stewart Co., TN? I came across some CHERRYs there that married MORRISes that may be cousins to my MORRISes from next door in Montgomery Co., TN one of whom went to Red River Co.
