Ginger, Yes, one could take that route but it is not a straight shot by no means.. The county road you are referring to is CR 4305 from US 82 to FM 1701. It takes a few crooks and turns and crosses a White Oak Creek and also crosses a branch of the creek. I do not know about the current condition of this road or if the water gets up at the creeks.. Once you hit CR 1701 you will still need to go back west on FM 1701 a short piece to turn south on CR 4405 to put you at Savannah. And yes the Savannah Cemetery is off the road about 1/3 of a mile but the gate is near the road. I have double checked all of this on the Chamber map and a General Highway Map of RR Co I bought from Robert Storey. This has really got my curiosity up about the condition of these two county roads.
