    3. Jo, In case Sam is out for a bit, I will jump in here. Manchester is northeast of Detroit about 15 miles. You can go north out of Detroit on FM 410 about 8 to 10 miles to the Woodland area then take FM 195 east about 6 miles to Manchester. The road is a little tricky at that split in the road. FM 195 takes a northern route and FM 2118 to the southeast will take you to Tuggle Springs. Both road will get you back to State Hwy 37. 2118 at Negley and 195 at Ablion area just at the Red River. Caney Creek is in the northeast section of the county between White Rock and English. My map show the creek running to the northeast and crossing FM 1699 about 3 or 4 miles east of White Rock, then it continues winding northward until it dumps into the Pecan Bayou at a point about 2 miles east of the northern tip of the original land grant of my Giddens ancestors. I have heard for many years about the Caney Well community and always thought it must be in the area of Caney Creek. Have a good one.
