Hi, I have expanded my MORRIS line to COLLIER, TITTLE, and THOMAS for now. The COLLIER and TITTLE families were from TN, although the TITTLEs went by way of AL and MS. They would have migrated in the very early 1850s. The THOMAS family married into my MORRIS and I believe they were from AL. Is there anyone else working on these families? Charmaine ps. thanks for the interesting help re research in the county. I am planning a trip sometime this summer if I can decide whether I want to drive from Atlanta or fly into Little Rock or Dallas. This list, by far, is the most personable list I to which I belong - love all the tidbits. Hello Charmaine, Another option would be to fly into Shreveport LA and drive from there. Usually takes me 2 hours 15 min to drive home from SHV to Clarksville. SHV is a lot more laid back than DFW, not sure about things in Little Rock. Goodness, I did not think that I would get help with my travel plans:) I did not even think about flying into Tulsa or Shreveport. Cost is not an issue as my husband flys for Delta. It is only once I get somewhere that the expense becomes a problem. I will get out my map and figure out which airport is closer if I decide not to drive. Since my MORRISes were from Montgomery Co., TN I am thinking about driving to Clarksville, TN. and trying to follow their migration trail since I know that they went through Shreveport as they stopped to have my grt grandmother there along the way. (Interesting note here that several families left Clarksville, TN which is on the confluence of the Cumberland and Red River and moved to Clarksville, Tx on the Red River!) Anyway - thanks for the suggestions. Charmaine
Hi: I am interested in the Collier's of TN/TX. Do you show in your data base any of the Collier ladies marrying into the Diseker family. My grandmother is Bennie Collier Diseker b abt 1880/1881 in Red River Co, TX. She married R. E. Bruce in 1897 in Red River Co, TX. Can you help.
