    3. Thanks Jim, The creek location makes sense. The Roberts family was in the White Rock area at least part of the time. Some are buried at White Rock Cemetery. I appreciate your reply. 3. Jo, I recall the Roberts family name well from the Hopewell are in my boyhood days, but never really knew them. Mostly just heard my grandpa Watson and my parents speak of them I have a old picture of a Mr Tom Watson and his wife and small boy. Wife's name is hard to make out but it could be Reva and the little boy (just the top of his head in the picture) is David. Not date on the picture, but it could be I expect from 1910 to 1930. There are 5 Roberts buried at Concord. The information below has a few dates, places and marriages that may be of help to you. There are also several Roberts graves at Concord (just west of White Rock), I sprayed week killer on them just last week. The name that sounds most familiar is Charlie O. Roberts 1889 to 1972. born in Annona, son of Mr & Mrs C.B. Roberts, married Francis _______, died in Santa Anna, Ca. (buried at Concord). Beside him is Lucy L Roberts 1888 to 1938.. Records of Jolly Funeral Home ( Clarksville) show name asLucy Luthira and burial charged to Charlie Roberts.. (beside Lucy is Bertha A . Tidwell 1911 to 1936) I don't know the connection to the Tidwell family, but according to the obit of Lula Mae Tidwell (1928-1945), the Tidwell family had formerly lived at Concord). Lula at age 15 died with 3 others in a car crash east of Annona in 1945. The other dead are also listed and the two injured. The other 3 dead are Thomas Lee White, 17, Betty Jane Higgins, 16 (sister to a friend of mine) and J.E. Ford, 23. The injured were Billy Joe Alfrod and Ruthie Lee Tidwell. Orvel D Roberts 1929 to 1933, son of Charley & Lucy Leatherwood Roberts, resident of English, according to records of Jolly Funeral Home. Lois Roberts Schmidt, 1927 to 1990, wife mother and grandmother. Obit has name as Lois Helen, birth in Slaton, Tx, a daughter of Charlie O. and Lucy Roberts, married Donald Schmidt on 11 Feb 1945 in Santa Ana, Ca. place of death not given. ----- Original Message ----- From: "JO COX" <jocox@arkansas.net> To: <TXREDRIV-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, June 22, 2003 3:00 PM Subject: Re: [TXREDRIV]Manchester & Caney Creek > Thanks Jim, The creek location makes sense. 3. Jim, Thank you so much. Firstoff, you mentioned a picture of Tom Watson. Did you mean Tom Roberts? Might not be the same one, but Tom Roberts was my Great Grandfather, Born 1855. He died about 1905 or so. Charlie O Roberts is one of mine, married to Lucy Litheria Lemons, but I had no childrens names. By the way, his father was O.B. not C.B Roberts. Charlie O. Roberts had a brother named Orval, but I have no date of birth or death for him. Did you get this information from the Dale cemetery Book? I really want to get one of those!! Thanks again, so much. This really fills in some holes for me.
