Hi Folks, My great grandfather died while living in Bogata in early 1910. Previously he lived in Franklin and Wood counties, but bought land in 1905 "...13 SW Clarkesville in Red River Co., TX... Bk 79, Pg 405" According to the deed, he bought the land (25 acres) from L. L. and Carrie Dowell for $250. His last marriage was to Mahalia E. Carrington on 13 Nov 1907. I have spent more than a month stomping around in Red River and surrounding counties trying to find where he was buried and exactly when he died. (I live in California). Were there any newspapers in Bogata in 1910? Any ideas appreciated... Mary Lou
Mary Lou, Others can answer you better than me about newspapers of Bogata, but what is the name of your great grandfather in case any of us may know of it.
