Steve, I remember Jr and G.L. Baird of Boxelder long ago in the 50s when I was in high school in Clarksville. G.L. married a neighbor of our, Lucille. Later they divorced. The two Baird boy (young men) were a couple of years older than me. I am now 61 and closing in on 62. I remember G.L. run some with Kyle Russell, son of Joe Ed Russell. Jr had a very cool. fast, 57 Ford (he had a job) and Kyle drove a Silver Hawk. I have never forgot the fight between G.L. and Kyle late one night in front of the Top Drive-In. We all expected Jr (big and tuff) to step in when Kyle seemed to be killing G.L. but he didn't. My only thought was that Jr was letting his little brother learn the lesson of not starting something he couldn't finish. I still see Lucille in Paris and Clarksville from time to time, but I do not know what happened to Jr & G.L. I do not know the names you mentioned and I realize you typed "Beard" instead of Baird. I could probably learn more if you need any information.
