I guess I missed that discussion. I see if I can pick it up somewhere. My name is Bettye Justis. I live in Bastrop, TX. I have been quietly keeping up with things happening on this board for some time. My inlaws moved from Cherry area about 1924 or so I am not sure right now. The moved from there to Melvin, TX , San Saba, TX, then to Llano, TX in 1946. I would appreciate any info you can find for me. I was able to obtain a marriage lice. for Maud and Joseph Justis when I was there. I find no records of Joseph Felix Justis (Justice as it is mispelled in most cases.). I have been curious as to what he was doing in Clarksville area. There was a family named Carrol that lived near by. My father in law said he thought they were related to the Justis family and moved from there to Anson. The Grant house was the old one with the porch all around it. I think it was green at the time. Mr. Grant went to school with Charlie Justis and there was one other man we saw there that when to school with them. I can't remember his name. He was at a Mobil station in town when we caught up with him (I think it was Mobil). The rail way was near where the Justis family lived. We walked out to where it had been and got some wonderful pictures of Charlie on the tracks and near the crawdad hole were he fished when he was a child. Charlie was the oldest of 7 or 8 children.
