Thanks to Sam for privately showing me I read the obit too fast. Garner III is actually listed as a cousin to Mrs Moore. Sue and I just last night drove past where the V.P. was born own our way back from Fulbright were we visited her aunt, Marie Massey after visiting in Clarksville. Instead of going into Detroit, we drove FM 194 to Blossom. When we drove up into Blossom I was tried to show the Garner "city" home to my wife. Dah, I just figure out now, I was in Blossom, not Detroit. I told Sue, it must be on the next street over. I knew where I was but just had a senior moment. Good laugh on me. Jim G p.s. Sam is the nicest of guys. ----- Original Message ----- From: "sam embrey" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, November 29, 2005 6:02 PM Subject: Re: [TXREDRIV] Obit: Ancestor to V.P. FROM: Bob Merriman Jim, I wrote a story for the Paris paper six or so years back about the birthplace of VP Garner. I went to the site, where there is a marker put up by the Texas Historical Commission. The marker is in a pasture and was lying face down. I was there only one time, so I don't know if the marker has been put back up or not. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jim Giddens" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, November 29, 2005 9:24 PM Subject: Fw: [TXREDRIV] Obit: Ancestor to V.P.
