We have three-legged races at our Easter picnic. First we hide eggs from the Easter Bunny for the children. Later, I hide eggs for the adults! They have a partner for a 3-legged easter egg hunt! And yep! We use tow sacks!!
Just checked my dictionary to make sure I wasn't imagining words; tow is a coarse fiber from jute or hemp and gunny is a cloth made from coarse fibers, so tow sack and gunny sack, which we used interchangeably, are appropriate words for what us Okies and Texicans used in ever day use. Hint for the 3 legged race. Count cadence like you are marching, but count fast.
