My first grade teacher was Laura Mae's sister, Rozelle Denton Raulston. She taught at Detroit later and then Clarksville. Christine Stephens Pratt and Laura Mae as well as Rozell were all teaching at Detroit, however, Rozelle never had the pleasure of teaching me. I know I was a pleasure to Chris and Laura Mae because they were always patting on my behind, even if they did use a paddle.
