I have exchange e-mail several times if not many over the last 2 or 3 years with Lynn Narmoore Stephenson. She was raised in Avery and is secretary for the City of Avery. Today I encouraged to sign up to our Red River County Rootsweb genealogy site, and she said she was signing up. I explained our format. Coming back from Sherman tonight, there was a head on crash around 9:30 p.m. on a bridge just east of Sherman. We were about 10 cars behind it according to the line. We did not see it. I found out later it was a bad one. If any in the area know anything, I would be interested in it. I learned that a hour later the bridge was still closed off and old 82 (56) was also blocked, not sure why. I am glad I was running late in getting our of Sherman due to taking a wrong turn. We never know what is around the corner.
