Thanks John and Jim, Don't know why I didn't have sense enough to look in RRR. DUH!!! (Mr Marx sold me clothes at a discount because I was in college). I believe it was Marx's back in my high school years of the late 50s, but would not bet my check on it. My Aunt Inez Fryer was the seamstress for Mr Marx for many years. She is still alive and can probably tell me when it happened. Stop the presses, just got out the RRR and looked under Silberberg after no luck with Marx. Still a little hard to find the date, but Jerrold bought it out and changed the name to Marx'a in 1952 when he became owner. He worked there since 1934. (This is on page 266 top left). Jerrold and Mildred sold the store in 1979. It still wasn't easy to find. That input came his of the members of the Silberberg family. Jerrold had his paragraph and (I had assumed it was Gerald) must have been related, maybe a nephew etc. Maybe the RRR says, but I'm going to bed to get ready for another long day tomorrow starting at 5:30 when my alarm goes off. I remember the store have the x-ray box in the shoe dept. I could see the bones in my feet just by stepping up and putting the feet into the box. Cool.
