Jim, can you email me or post the Ward's that you have found? My birth family is Ward. My stepgreatgrandfather and birth greatgrandmother are buried there, along with two little boys of theirs. Their names were James and Bertha Wiggins. My birth mother is also buried there. Her name is Lorene Joyce Ward Lay. Ever since she was buried there, she never had a marker. This past spring her brother...David Ward and her sister.....Vera Ward Rowe..and I met here in Paris. They bought my lunch and then took me to the monument place. They let me pick out a tombstone and let me decide what should be written on it.....and they paid for it. Years ago when I found out that I was adopted and then did some research and found who I was....and who they were, I went to Marris Chapel. There was a metal marker from the funeral home left on Lorene's grave. It was on the north side of James Wiggins. Years have gone by and that marker is long gone. The caretaker recently told my aunt Vera that he poked a pipe in the ground on the south side of Bertha's plot and he hit something hard so Lorene must be there. We all dissagreed with him. I got a nice lady out of Blossom that does Wichin (sp) with rods. She came to the cemetary with me and walked over their plots. No one was buried next to Bertha, but someone was buried next to James. And we did not discuss where we thought Lorene was bured at, prior to her walking over the plots. So she had no idea where we were hoping Lorene would be. There were others buried in places that there was no tombstone, too. We will never know who is buried there....but we now have a tombstone for my birth mother. Harris Chapel? I have family there too. Andrew J. and Missouri Francis Miller Cornett. They were my (adopted) great grandparents. Harvey Cornett was their son, Leighton Cornett was their grandson and then there is me, their greatgrandaughter.. Thanks for letting me ramble. Debra in Paris
