    2. Elaine Formby
    3. My maternal grandmother was a Lewis, the daughter of Winchester Dane Lewis, a proud soldier in the G.A.R. who settled in Ackworth area after the Civil War. My grandmother Louisa married Charles Burton Moore and lived in Ackworth area too until the death of their teenage daughter caused them to move to McCurtain County, Ok. That is the Lewis connection, including her brother Gustie, and sisters, Nola and Caroline, who remained in the Ackworth area. I had a Great Aunt Maggie Lewis, who was married to Grandma Moore's brother Charlie and who also lived and, I believe, died in Broken Bow, McCurtain County, Oklahoma. So, is the Maggie Lewis of your reference our contemporary or from this long, distant past? The Formby to Fomby connection is distant: my husband is, going back in time from father backward--without my checking my records--, Bryan I, Lucius, Robert Benton, Eugene Nathan, Aaron, Nathan; back in place from Spiro, Ok., to Troup Co., GA. I understand from message boards by an amazing researcher Marine, that the Fombys from Ardmore, Ok., area are from the same Formby Virginia to Georgia line. So, you tell me if we're related by marriage. Don't you just love puzzles? I like questions like this as I've not thought of Uncle Charlie in a long time. I'm a very new 58--having just had a birthday--but I remember Uncle Charlie's death and his body lying in state on Grandma's kitchen chairs put together to support a coffin and the viewing being in Grandma's and Grandpa's living room. That must have been in the 1950s, a simple time. Oh, my! AND do you know about RR Gen. Soc. seminar in Oct.? Thanks, J.
