I'm forwarding this letter that I got from a distant genealogy cousin with whom I have exchanged family information. They didn't know anybody else in Texas so she wrote to me to say "Thank you" to Texas and I'm passing it on. The Astrodome complex is awesome. My daughter and granddaughter left New Orleans early Sunday morning. They made it to Montgomery, AL without any problems. They drove on up to Seymour, IN on Wednesday. At this point, we have reason to believe that their home sustained little damage and that the area is dry. They live about 2 blocks from the Mississippi, between Louisiana and Napoleon. They have friends they have not heard from yet. The internet has been a blessing during this crisis. We have no idea what will happen next. Thanks again to the state of Texas. Your genealogy friend, Arlene Schmielau
