Sam, Your e-mail reminded me of a couple of things. The Korean war is sort of the "forgotten war". I can remember home town boys going, but even then, there was not the publicity there has been with other wars. I went to college when I was middle-aged, and could not find as much research on that war, either. It has just been as if we don't even remember it or those who fought in it. I salute you for having participated and having the attitude you did. You did a great service to our country. On the lighter side, (not genealogy at all) I am glad to hear from someone who still remembers Audie Murphy. Wasn't he from Texas, too? Doris
There is a great Korean War Memorial in DC. All the statues of soldiers look like they are looking right at you from the warfront.
