    3. I need to say something here concerning old soldiers. As you all know Vietnam was a very unpopular war and we who served were not treated very nice when we came home. Most of us went to work, got married and raised our families but a few of course did not. And Hollywood focused on those few and stereotyped us all as walking time bombs and drug users and such. I recently attended a unit reunion for the company I was with in Vietnam, now serving at Fort Sill, preparing to go to Iraq soon. As we old soldiers visited the young soldiers at Fort Sill that day, they gave us a Huge Welcome Home and Thanked us for our service as we got off the bus there! Iraq may not be a popular war either but God Bless our young people who are serving our great country today! William F Smith Heavener, OK PS My son-in-law's National Guard company is leaving for New Orleans this morning. Please remember them in prayer

    3. William, did you know any Formbys in Heavener? Although my husband's father, Bryan Joel Formby I, died in Spiro when my husband was a teen, his grandmother, Emily Dyer Formby, and Uncle Champ Kenneth "Doc" Formby, and family lived in Heavener, and his grandmother and Uncle Doc died there as we understand. We go up that way sometime to decorate his father's grave in Spiro and to go to Bella Vista, Arkansas, where we have had property for years. ----- Original Message ----- From: "william smith" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, September 02, 2005 8:39 AM Subject: Re: [TXREDRIV] Old Soldier >I need to say something here concerning old soldiers.
