WOW I am amazed. I am into tracing Rushings myself, as my great-grandmother was a Rushing. Her family was from Mississippi and Alabama...and then moved into Louisiana, but stories go that some went to Texas. That's all I know about them...but I do have lots of Rushing info from MS... I have also seen a few Rushing headstones around here. I believe I have a few photos, one being from Old Salem Cemetery outside of DeKalb...I know I snapped that one. I'd love to hear more about your Rushing family. Do you know where they came from? Jerri

I believe that Andrew Rushing grew up near Sulpher Springs TX Not too positive there . My Smith family lived in Birthright TX in Hopkins county when Fanny married Andrew. they had 14 kids. I know that there are some of their descendants still in the area but do not know any of them. Some time ago someone told me where Fanny is buried and also some of the rest of the family. I have misplaced that info. Some time ago I made contact with a lady who is Fanny's grand daughter and doing research on the Rushing family. she promised me info but never sent any.
