    3. A few days ago I went to the Snopes webs site and read of these two different hog shootings. This big one shot on the commercial hunting "plantation" and the one that was reported to be over 1300 lbs. There is truth to both, but also questions to accuracy. The 1300 lb one was buried with the head separate from the body. Snopes suggest the hog is big but maybe around 1000 lbs and that the picture may be doctored up to make it look bigger than it really was. In the picture, the funny part of the photo was the rope holding up the hog. It appears to be almost as big as my wrist. Yes, it would take a big rope. As Debra has said, the other one had been released on the hunting plantation, was big, but was not wild (ferel). I read that the boy (shooter) was taken to the owner of the hunting plantation by the boys father, for the boy to ask the owner why he would do such a thing.
