I too recommend all the places that Cynthia named. TaMalloy's seems to be the most popular, but that are all busy. We visit TaMalloys often and also Applebee. Applebee's seems to be slow service to me but the food is good. We have started going to the Sirloin Stockade recently, it has a great variety and all you can eat Buffet. It is basically across the loop from the Fish Fry. For Chinese food, we have Golden China near Walmart and China Star on Lamar Ave about half way between the loop and downtown. We use to go to Magels on the loop behind the new Walgreen's for family type food, but have not been there lately nor to the Chinese places. Again, we are at the Fish Fry almost every Wednesday night.
