Jim, The index shows J.R. Mowery born Dec. 24, 1839, died October 25, 1881, buried at Concord. Could not find Malinda Mowery, but I did find Malinda Giddens born Sept. 25, 1826, died November 30, 1851, buried at Concord. This may not be the same Malinda. No, not the same, it is her mother, wife of my GG GF Wiley W Giddens A little strange for daughter to have the same name but boys do it all the time. Middle names probably different. I think J.R. Mowery wife remarried in Lamar County but I forget the name. She is probably buried in Lamar Co. Jim G p.s. poor J.R. Mowery, buried all alone over in the corner of the cemetery. Only Mowery in the Cemetery. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mike Gibson" <mikegibsonathome@msn.com> To: <jimgidd@suddenlink.net>; <TXREDRIV-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, June 07, 2007 8:01 PM Subject: RE: [TXREDRIV] Mowery Reunion > Jim, > > The index shows J.R. Jim: Jame's wife was Susie Thoms, sister to my gg grandfather, William Edward Thoms. Susie married Robert Monkhouse after the dead of James and is buried at Hopewell. Thanks so much Beverly, I remember making notes of the Thoms graves at Hopewell but I did not know of the connection. I will probably slip your point into my presentation. "Presentation", that sounds like a big word for a old boy just "rambling" on in person. I keep turning up new (old) information and I still have not made me an outline, I better get that done to help me to not skip over main points and to be able to conserve time.
