    3. There is no record of a Hardin - Watson marriage in Red River co. between 1846 and 1903. ----- Original Message ----- From: <DaaazyHardin@aol.com> To: <txredriv@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, June 30, 2007 8:23 PM Subject: Re: [TXREDRIV] Marriage in 1853 or 1854?HARDIN/WATSON Hello, I am looking for a marriage that may have taken place between my great grand parents: John H. Hardin and Roxcina P. Watson. It may have been later in 1853 or sometime in 1854? John and Roxcina lived in Grayson county during at least 1854 through1860. John's first son, John William was born at old Preston in Grayson county on Jan 1,1855.. Dianne Hardin in California. ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com. ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to TXREDRIV-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message -- Internal Virus Database is out-of-date. 3. Seeing the "Hardin-Watson" notation, I just must put in a tib-bit of info that may well not have a connection. My mother was a Watson, she grew up at Hopewell Community in Red River County. I remember the name at Hopewell very well from my boyhood days of Haskell Hardin, but I did not actually know him. I have the newspaper obit of Haskell D. Hardin of Bagwell, died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2004. I have a picture that was in my parents old picture box. I was probably taken in the 1940 of early 1950s. Haskell is showing off his twin (black) calves. A Model-A pickup is in the background. I feel fairly certain that the picture is taken at the gate to my grandparents (Watson) farm. I remember my dad saying that Haskell was sure proud of those twin calves. There are a least 3 sets (and probably more in RR Co) of Watson families. If I remember correctly, my Watson line came to Red River C from Alabama around 1870, So, this is probably not your Watson but maybe interesting anyway. The obit says Haskell Hardin was born Oct 19, 1911 in Red River County to Amos & Rosie Poteet Hardin. Haskell at obit time had 2 daughters (married) living in Bagwell. Around the time Haskell died, I had put the picture of Haskell and the calves in the Clarksville Times.
