You can contact your public library, which in my case it is the Paris Public Library. They usually maintain a subscription to Heritagequest.com. You have to live in Lamar County to be able to get the id/password to use their system AND have a current library card with them. I go to the library's website, then it takes me in through TexShare databases, then from there into the Heritagequest.com. _http://www.tsl.state.tx.us/texshare/pl/_ (http://www.tsl.state.tx.us/texshare/pl/) if you live in Texas, go to this website and it has a place to click on to check to see who the nearest library or service center to you is...then contact them to see what their requirements are. You might have to access it from their library. We are fortunate to be able to access it at home as well as at the library. You can also go through PJC library, but you do have to use it there in the library. I think if you go to Heritagequest.com, look at the tabs and everywhere. I think there is something you can click on that will give a list of the states, then maybe the libraries that you can get it through. I do know that the Lamar County Genealogy Library has it also.
