    3. This is from Johnie about the next RRGS program. Just a note to send this to you all. This is the notice that I sent to the papers about our next meeting. Johnie The Red River County Genealogical Society will meet on Monday evening, November 13, at 7 p.m. in the Red River County Library. This month's speaker will be Lynn Titus of Grand Prairie, who will present a first person period dress reenactment of his ancestor, Col. James Titus. Col. Titus was born in 1775 in Virginia and was a senator in the Alabama Territory as well as in the Republic of Texas. The time period will be early November, 1843 in Clarksville, as James Titus has left his plantation near Savannah to talk about his life with friends and town-folk from Clarksville and the surrounding area. At his death in 1844, he became the first person buried in what would become Red River County's Savannah Cemetery. All interested persons are invited to attend this meeting. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Peek-a-boo FREE Tricks & Treats for You! Get 'em!
