Jerry, Have you tried looking in Coryell County, Texas?? I found them on the 1920 census there, with children Herbert, Hilton, Nolita and Herman. They are living next to John Bankston and his wife...I assume they are Bertha's parents? Since Herbert was 15 in 1920, I would guess that they married around 1905? I also found Bertha O Bankston living with her parents in 1900 at age 15, in Coryell County, Texas... and 5 houses down the street or road from them was the Jack E. Hardy family with a son Eddie G, age 21. If that is where they lived, why would they come to Red River County to get married? I checked Lamar County and they were not married there either. It is possible that they might have traveled to one of the counties, along the Oklahoma border. Oklahoma does not have a waiting period between getting the license and getting married. Hopes this helps, Debra in Paris, Texas **************************************Check out AOL's list of 2007's hottest products.
