I think I could pretty well find and follow the road from Clarksville to Paris or vice versa. I'll bet the difference in the mileage wouldn't be that much, it's just cut a good deal of crooks and turns. I remember when I was about 6 and we made a trip to Paris in a small Chevy coupe. I surmised that I could probably walk all the way to Paris because I stood up all the way while we drove to Paris. Kids? ? ? About 5 years ago, my daddy wanted me to come to see him at the nursing home to take care of some business. He asked me if I had to drive from Detroit [I did, of course, we live here] and he said he was sorry that I had to drive the old bumpy road. I inwardly laughed. He worked on that road as the highway was being built new in the 1956 era, I believe. Our son was just a baby then.
