(delete if not interested, this will ware off soon) The memory card the salesman sold me is a SD Card 1GB. He said it would hold about 150 pictures, where as my camera by itself would hold only about ten. He did say I could by a larger memory card if I wanted. Close out price on this camera was $215.00. I can take it back within 30 days if I change my mind. I do have a cell phone but I have never thought about using it to send pictures via e-mail to anyone. That will be something else this old dog with have to learn. Some one did put a picture of my wife in my cell phone for me so I see her when I open my phone. Yes, that is a good thing. Maybe my cell phone package is to cheap to e-mail, I will have to check that out. Jim, The digital memory card will hold more or less based on the quality (number of pixels) for which you have the camera set to take photos. I found that tombstones look pretty much the same regardless of whether they are high quality or medium quality, and I can put lots more on the card with the lesser quality. You will have to experiment for your camera to see how fancy you want to get. Photos of my kid get the top quality; the dog, well, not so important. Don't forget 1GB will hold lots of photos to keep track of! I find it easier to use several cards with lesser memory and I can have a card for various different purposes (one for vacation, one for work, one copying the scrapbook that old Aunt Jane won't let me borrow!). It is great when you take a family photo and know you have squirmy kids making faces in the back row before the family reunion is over! ; ) Enjoy! Thought some of you might be interested in this. It is held at the New Boston Public Library. Rosalie/New Boston Dear Historians, Carolyn and Mike McCrary are going to be with us at our next meeting. Mike talked to us several years ago about his collection of records on Confederate soldiers from Bowie County. His present project is a collection of clippings from old newspapers about people in Bowie County. Some of these clippings date back to about 1840. Carolyn had some articles in her column about Dalby Springs recently that were very good. She writes the Williams House articles in first person for the DeKalb paper. They work together as a team and always have something that we find most interesting. Come be with us if your schedule allows. It is going to be fun. ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.

Yes, markers are put in approximate places. I don't know if there are any rules. There appear to be zillions of unmarked graves at Old Shamrock, and probably all the older cemeteries. They are probably lost forever. Anybody want to go with me sometime to check these things out? I would have gone this morning except it is sprinkling rain and thundering, and I like sunshine to take pictures. Cynthia
no, I graduated from high school in 1976. I don't remember when they tore it down, but it is gone now and a medical supply place is there now. It is east of Fry and Gibbs funeral home. ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.

Cynthia, Thank you for the info about Agnes McAllister. She is the sister of my GGrandmother, Ellen. Their mom Clarrisa Jane Rogers is a Granddaughter of Wm. Becknell and is mentioned in their Will. This gives credibility to the storey that there are McAllisters in the Old Shamrock Cemetery and Henry and his wife must be there also. I'm sure there is no markers for them; Therefore, as someone asked earlier is it possible to place a marker without knowing the exact location of their graves? I looked in Dales book and found another McAllister, Mrs. J C McAllister, a daughter of J. K. Rodgers and Mary Becknell Rodgers, buried there. Her services were paid for by, her niece, Agnes's sister, Clara Mc.. I'm guessing she married a bro of Henry Mc.. Does anyone out there have any info in this direction? Thanks again Cynthia for your guidance. You opened another door to the McAllisters. Yes, Cynthia. You are correct. My Davison and McGuire family came fromBienville Parish, LA. And the Tammy Sims you speak of sent me a wonderful story of her father, Tommy Rudolph Newsom. Easter Alabama McGuire married a Newsom after my grgrandfather was killed. But Tammy never told me anything about the murder............the story was of her father and living in Downing Community, Red River Co. and Birmingham Community, Red River Co., I have lost contact with Tammy. If you ever contact her again, please mention my email address to her. I'd love to make contact again. We have spoken before. Our paths cross in several family names...........Malone, Davison, McGuire, are a few. thanks, and again I enjoy this site for stories and information.
