    2. Louis Igo was a witness in 1899 for my ancestor, John Cooper, in his petition for a Confederate pension. Both served in Co. D, 29 TX Cavalry Regiment, led by Charles DeMorse. In Louis' testimony, he states he has lived in Red River Co. nearly 50 yrs. and personally known John Cooper since 1861. Were messmates in Co. D. Louis states that they were together in the following fights--Greenleaf Prairie, Elk Creek, Prairie Grove & Cabin Creek (2nd, 3rd, 4th July 1862) all in the Cherokee Nation.     3. The precincts, I am pretty sure, are the same from 1900 thru 1930. The E. D's appear to run along the same areas, but I am not sure they are exact.     3. I was in Clarksville almost all day yesterday and was at the Friends of RR County Cemeteries last night. More on that later. My 15 year old grandson is visiting for a few days. Yesterday we went fishing and somehow managed to visit 4 cemeteries. He is Wesley, named for may dad. Wesley helped me put more dirt on my dad grave because it had settled. That was at Stones Chapel.
