    3. Help, someone please help me. My wife and I were discussing the cleaning out of our garage. I told her that we had enough empty " PASTE BOARD BOXES ", that if we threw them out, our garage would be fine. She has made fun of me for calling the card board boxes, paste board boxes. Says she never heard that before. I know some of you have heard that name used, so help me out. 3. Here is one contact that I have just made the past month on my BUSH line.....perhaps you will recognize a name or place: ''Here is the connection of Malone to John Henry Bush. As you can see that kindred Strickland had the big pice of land, This is where Mont. Pleasent Church is located and Kindred is burried. Kindred 's son Harkney was the Father to Mary Josephine Bush married to john Caneda Bush as His first wife. they had a son Clarance, She died two days later and Clarance two Years Later. At Mt Pleasent there is the row that starts of with Martin Strickland then Harkney , Martha, Next there are Two Elmore childern graves, then Clarance Bush , John Bush, Mary Josepine Strickland Bush , Two more Stricklands, then you come to Kindred Strickland and Tempy (Temerance) Strickland. John Henry Bushs Mother was Mary E Malone , John Caneda Bush's Second Wife also Burried at Mt, Pleasent.'' This is near Gordo, Pickens Co. Alabama. I had sent him a MAP........ My BUSH family did come to Alabama from South Carolina, but I don't know which county they were in. I do not recognize any of the Surnames you listed, but being in the same area, they may very well be related. This man that sent me the letter above is from Alabama and still lives there. So don't cross me off your list yet! 3. You are kidding me! How can I make two contacts in one evening!! This is great! Yes, Ruth Carter born 24 Feb 1903....I don't have the place. Oh, I hope you can tell me something about Ruth and Jim.....I barely remember them. They were my great aunt/uncle. Would you have any pictures of them around anywhere. We don't have but one photo of them for our MALONE book.......I'll be in Clarksville the week of Aug 24 - 30. Any suggestions........And I hope you can share a memory or two of them. I want to join the Genealogy Society there also. I have names to contact of officers. Are you one of the officers by chance? Do you live in Paris or Clarksville area? I have lots of family in Red River Co and Lamar Co. Thanks for your response, Linda We have been a little "chatty" for the site, so I have emailed a couple of people individually....sorry for all the food recipes, and road maps! ha ha It is such a good site to hear about people I have not thought of in years...........thanks again >From: "Cynthia Samples" <[email protected]> >Reply-To: [email protected] >To: [email protected] >Subject: RE: [TXREDRIV] Malone >Date: Mon, 8 Aug 2005 21:32:35 -0500 > >Well, I am related to Ruth. 3. Yes, one of my lines is Bush. But I don't think they were in this area. Most of my Bush family were in Alabama. But you never know. Sooooo........... Mary Elizabeth BUSH born 1843 married Anderson Taylor HOWELL. Geneva Bush born about 1855 married Lafayette Kindred MALONE. These BUSH sisters father was James M. Bush married Nancy Ann BYARS.Other children of James/Nancy are: Joseph Andrew, James Dudley, Lucinda Ellen, John Caneda, Seth B., Frances Josephine BUSH. The BUSH line then ties into the ELMORE family, but again, they are in Alabama. All these families were in Alabama as far as I've tracked them......not in Texas. However, BUSH extended families came to Texas. HOWELL, WILLIAMS, MALONE. I couldn't be lucky enough to make 2 connections in one day!! But that would be great. Another one would be fine with me, but with everyone so far away, it is difficult plus trying to find a date good for everyone. It certainly is food for thought. I guess you can tell, I am not as young as I once was, but once I was a young as I ever was. I guess I am just dreading the next 3 days of 14 hrs each, then I will crash Friday.
