Hi Pat, I was wondering if you knew where your Lefors family came from and if they could possibly be connected to the Leflore's who were Choctaw Indian? The reason I ask is that my GGG Grandfather Henry Jefferson was brother-in-law to Chieftain Greenwood Leflore and after his first wife died he married Isabelle Leflore. He and Isabelle came to Tarrant County about 1860. One son James D. Jefferson lived on the Tarrant, Parker, and Wise County line. Thought if you were having trouble tracing your Lefors, you might want to check out the possible connection to the Leflore's. I couldn't help notice the name of your ancestor Thomas Henry Lefors, I believe that Henry's father name was Thomas and do know his first son was named Thomas. Since the 1860 of Tarrant County is missing I do not know the name of the children Henry and Isabelle had but I do believe that there was one girl with the initials M. J., which would match your Martha Jane Lefors. Henry was born in N.C. and Isabella was born in Mississippi. The Leflores were from Mississippi and Oklahoma. If you see that there might be a connection I would love to hear from you. Good Luck, Janis
