Sons who lived in and owned property in Parker County are [1]Thomas C. DURRETT b. 1837, served Co.H. 2nd TX CSA 1861-65; [2]Richard H. DURRETT b. 1839, m. Susan Callahan COLE 1866 in Parker Co., TX. Richard disappears in 1885/6 after receiving an inheritance from his mother's estate. In 1900 Susan C.COLE DURRETT is found with two of Richard's children but using the last name of JOHNSON and in Grayson County, TX. Cannot find Richard DURRETTafter 1885/6. [3]William S. DURRETT b. 1840, served in Co. H. of TX. Mtd. Riflemen, 2nd Reg. Do not know what happened to him after the civil war. [4]Rice W. DURRETT b. 1835 served in the Civil war in Darnell's Regt. Rice is described as "one armed cowboy " and with the Matthews Cattle Company in the "Handbook of Texas." Appreciate any information on any of these DURRETT men and especially my ancestor Richard H.
