Kay I don't believe I will be of any help. I am not related to Coleman's but my gggrandmother, Rebecca Carter's stepmother was a Coleman. Nancy COLEMAN b. abt 1818 in Jefferson Tn. m. Geo. W. CARTER. abt. 1849. According to the LDS search site she had a 2 or 3 Children. The family lived in Cocke Co. Tn. Rebecca left with her husband and children in the early 1870's she left Tn. Her husband died in Mo. and her brother Crockett brought them on to Texas where they settled in Parker Co/Tarrant Co/Wise Co area. Crockett's mother was Nancy Coleman. I was trying to find out if anyone else in the family made the journey with them. I don't know who Nancy's parents were.....Does anything sound familiar? Charlotte
