Dear Carolyn, Sorry to hear that there has been a brouhaha over the courthouse questions. It is my opinion that sometimes a little leeway over discussions should be tolerated, especially when the counties are next door to each other. In the 'old days' people were known to have done business at the closest place, whether it was in 'their' county or not. My grandfather's birth was registered in the neighboring county because it was closer than his own, and we like to have never tracked it down and straightened it out. So I guess I'm a bit more tolerant of those who seek help in 'neighboring' counties when on the track of ancestor information. I guess the trick is to get your clues and take the detailed discussions offline until the final resolution. Thanks for posting the answer that you received however, since when I'm lurking and reading the postings I often wonder if the answers were ever found.
