I have been trying to confirm the surname of my grandmother. She married Asa C. Lovett in Weatherford Tx . Nov. 29,1877. Her name on the records is given as Mary C. Waldron- We have always thought it was Waldrop. Is there anyway to check the original records and see if it might have been transcribed wrong. She was working in a hotel as a waitress at that time. I know she came from AL. but I have not seen her or any relatives listed in any of the census records. I have read all the Trails West here in the Lubbock Library but the only thing I found was their marriage date . I would appreciate any thing on this - I would like to trace her back to AL.
