    3. Kay, Are you the Kay Davis that is on my McALISTER line? Just curious? Since my computer crashed and I lost a slew of messages, etc. I'm constantly confused. :( > I have not talked to or written you in a long time, but I too am >interested in the "Wright Cemetery" on the Porter Ranch. Although I am >from the area, I don't know where the Porter Ranch is, but I too have >two greatgreat grandparents that are buried in the Northwestern part of >the county, and probably on the ranch where they lived. I've been to the Porter Ranch but it was a few years ago. The gate was locked and it took a while to find someone who could get us in, but Evelyn at the library finally succeeded. The only graves at the time that I was interested in were those of John Reed MITCHELL, his wife, Ann Eliza "VARDY" MITCHELL and their son, John Arthur MITCHELL. John and Ann are my g grandparents. My Grandpa, Charles Franklin, was their only surviving son to carry on the MITCHELL name. I believe John Reed and his first wife, Mary _?_, may have a son, William, buried there. I may have relatives on my Grandma's side buried in Parker Co. but I don't have a clue as to where. The surname was ARDREY and I can't find John, Milton, Betty, or Ann. . Also, gg grandma by the name of Elizabeth WILSON. They were living in Parker Co. in 1880 Census. Charles F. Mitchell married Jennie Ardrey in Pottowatomie Co., Okla. Terr. in 1897. They settled in Jack Co. TX for a while before crossing Red River into the Chickasaw Nation about 1906. > Maybe you know of several private burial sites. I could use help on this from >you or anyone. Wish I did since some of my family may be in a private site. Sorry I couldn't help. Hope someone else did. Virginia
