Back in the 30's I think there was one. Cotton-Bratton Funeral Home and Fine Furinture. I always thought that was funny...I guess in a small town, you have to diversify to survive. Anyway, I was told that what a person dies in one county or state, and maybe have his funeral there, when he is buried in another county or state, the funeral home meets the body at the train (or whatever) and is taken to the cemetery straightaway for burial. However, if you relative lived in Weatherford, he probably had his service there. On my relatives, the death certificate stated where the place of burial was. Jan W.
