I have a John Rhoten Hill lived in Parker county in the 1860's. He was a Methodist minister, but I have also found him listed in Hood co as Free Gospel. He was from Buncombe county NC, believe from family tales his mother was a Rhoten from TN. I tried to get the Rhoten surname into Genforum but it hasn't happened yet.
