Paul, In 'A New History of Parker County' written in 1906, I find the following: On pg 47, there is a discussion of mills and gins - "The first cotton gin in Parker County was owned and operated by Judge W.F. Carter, in Weatherford. ... Other pioneer ginners were Wright Bullard, H.C. Vardy, and F.G. McCrory in the northern portion; J.M. Conway, James Hurst and Colonel Moore, southern portion." I also have the 1920 Chamber of Commerce publication, but it doesn't mention the cotton gin of Mr. Moore. There is no index, however, so it's entirely possible that I missed it.
