Hi Marilyn, There is a good site with tons of Woody information in the Parker Co., TX section of rootsweb. I will send you the address. There is a seven page interview with J.J. Woody, the son of Samuel, and his life in Wise Co. J.J. gives a great insight into the life of the farmer and rancher of the late 1800's. There are also pictures of the Sam Woody cabin and other interesting things about one of the pioneers of the county. Like Tamara said, George Lee Dobbs, my gggrandfather, bought the old Sam Woody place when he came to Texas in 1858.
