Marilyn, My ancestor, George Lee Dobbs, settled in Parker County TX in 1858. In 1859, he bought the Sam Woody place. This area was in the Woods Beat in 1870 (and 1880, I think) census. It is located north of Weatherford, on the old Springtown Rd, near Friendship Baptist Church. Lots of my kin are buried up there and I am patiently (!) awaiting the Parker Co Gen Soc.'s release of the Northeast cemeteries - Your James Woody may be buried up there as well. Good luck, Tamara West Stevens ---------- > From: MarWarH@aol.com > To: TXPARKER-L@rootsweb.com > Subject: [TXPARKER] Search for James Hannah Woody > Date: Thursday, September 23, 1999 6:00 PM > > > In a message dated 9/23/99 12:21:37 PM, TXPARKER-D-request@rootsweb.com > writes: > > << To: TXPARKER-L@rootsweb.com >> > This is my first request for help.
