Dear Tamara, A couple of suggestions: 1. Check the 1870 Wise Co. census. There seems to have been a county line dispute around that time and it could be that they were in the part of Parker (Wise?) that was under dispute. 2. Write to Wise Co. for a death certificate. There records are sometimes available for folks in Parker Co. also. (There was a lot of Indian action in that area during the 60's and 70's. I have one family that actually moved back to their home state for five years after being here for 2 or 3 years. The Indian problem and the Civil War were both reasons to go back "home". 3.
