From: Joyce Gore Locke <jglocke@yucca.net> Wednesday, November 24, 1999 12:21 PM > Parker county families: Gore - Wright - Thomas - King > > The Gore Family Connection http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~goredata Just visited your web page and found that Iona Jane Wright (apparently daughter of Robert Wright) married Andrew Jackson Gore. I am looking for information on the Wright family in the 1840-1900 period, particularly in and around Hood and Sommervell Counties, Texas. Any information on the siblings and parents of Robert Wright, in particular, would be of interest. Thanks in advance for any help. Jack Landers Auburn, Indiana E-mail: charliej@fwi.com

    3. I just received the last three volumes to add to my collection and wanted to take a moment to commend everyone who worked on this project. They all deserve a pat on the back in addition to a hearty hug! The amount of information given for the relatively small cost is just unbelievable. If you worked on the project, or know those who did, please accept (pass along) my note of gratitude which I'm sure is shared by many. Happy Thanksgiving! 1. [TXPARKER] Checking names
    2. I have been trying to confirm the surname of my grandmother. She married Asa C. Lovett in Weatherford Tx . Nov. 29,1877. Her name on the records is given as Mary C. Waldron- We have always thought it was Waldrop. Is there anyway to check the original records and see if it might have been transcribed wrong. She was working in a hotel as a waitress at that time. I know she came from AL. but I have not seen her or any relatives listed in any of the census records. I have read all the Trails West here in the Lubbock Library but the only thing I found was their marriage date . I would appreciate any thing on this - I would like to trace her back to AL. Thanks Ray Lovett. ryvett@aol.,com

    2. There is another Cox Cemetery which is located about 27 miles northeast of Brady, TX in the northeast part of McCulloch County. The cemetery is about 1 l/2 miles northwest of the Milburn, TX .community. This info was published in the new McCulloch Co. Cemetery Records and was submitted by Alvin Lewis Bolton. The book was researched and compiled by Louann Hall, Ethel Cole & And Mr. Bolton. Besides the McCulloch Co. Cemeteries there are listings of cemeteries and burials on private property.

    2. Jo Ann Robinson
    3. As promised ... directions to Cox Cemetery. Cox Cemetery is geographically located between Millsap and Weatherford in Parker County. It is north of I-20. From I-20, take the Brock exit (west of Weatherford) -- go east on north frontage road. Turn left on Cox road and travel north. I'm told that Cox Road branches a couple of times but stay on Cox Road. The cemetery is located just off the road -- 1200 Cox Road. For those of you lucky enough to own Street Atlas U.S.A. or a GPS receiver, the Latitude is 324357N and Longitude is 0975633W according to the USGS Geographic Names Information System on the Internet. I have not had an opportunity to check the accuracy of the Latitude/Longitude numbers yet. - Jo Ann Kendrick Robinson
